Berba Ruled Himself Out ?

Gus Poyet, having had four days to think
about it has finally revealed why Berbatov
was not in the Spurs squad to play Sunder-
land on Saturday. Berbatov has already
said he wants to sign for United during
the summer transfer window and Poyet
now claims Berbatov ruled himself out of
the match.

That's odd, on Match of the Day Juande
Ramos said "I had to leave him out ......".

Poyet said: "After having a meeting he
did not find himself in the right frame of
mind to play, that is why he was not in
the squad. When the player says to the
manager that he does not feel in the right
condition to play a full game at this level,
I do not think you have any option. It is a
difficult situation."

Just to rub salt into the wound, they then
proceeded to lose their second game of the
season as Sunderland beat them 2-1.
