Former Manchester United Winger Joins MK Dons

manchester united blog luke chadwick milton keynesFormer Manchester United starlet and winger Luke Chadwick has just signed a permanent deal with Milton Keynes Dons after being released by Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder. In his time with Manchester United he made 39 appearances.

When he was part of the youth system at United Chadwick was highly rated and Alex Ferguson thought a lot of him but with the emergence of David Beckham and Ryan Giggs at the same time as his own career got started, it was hard for him to break through and hold a real place at first team level.

He remained with United until 2004 spending an impressive loan spell at Royal Antwerp, plus temporary stints at Reading and Burnley. Chadwick then moved on to West Ham United on a free transfer - but has struggled to settle at any of the handful of clubs he has represented. A series of troublesome injuries have played their part in blighting the player's career.

Having spent a short loan spell with Milton Keynes, he ended a disappointing spell at Norwich by making the move permanent soon after the transfer window opened. I hope he has a happy time with MK Dons. He served United well during his stint with the reserves and at first team level.
