The news comes from Sport Bild. Manchester United and Real Madrid could be joined in the race for Gomez' signature by Barcelona too.
With a contract set to last until 2012 he wont come cheap. But that said, a striker who has scored 24 times in 31 matches wont be available at a bargain price anyway.
He does have a buy out clause in his contract for this summer believed to be in the region of €35 million which could be agreeable to any of the clubs after him.
If he were to move to Madrid it seems likely that he would either be used as a replacement for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who has not settled well in Spain, or would be a long-term replacement for Raul whereas at United he would more than likely replace Carlos Tevez who appears to be on the way out from United.....Back To Home Page...

with the playing time that Carlos is recieving (as aposed to the few mintues he was getting a while back), I am going to back tract on my thought that he was out the door. i think Sir Alex is trying to get him to relax and understand his rotation system. Gomez would be just a waste of money... anyone remember how poorly he did in the Euro?
