Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi has dismissed talk that he could return to Manchester United. The Italian international left United for Villarreal in 2007 and he has impressed at El Madrigal since his arrival. Manchester United had a clause in his transfer to Villarreal allowing them first refusal to sign Rossi if they decided to sell him. However, Rossi has no intention of going back to Old Trafford insisting he is happy with life at Villarreal.

"There is no position between myself and Manchester United," Rossi is quoted as saying in The People. "I am with Villarreal and that's it.

"I didn't get a chance to play in England. That was the main reason I wanted to get some experience and that's what I have been doing with Villarreal.
