Milan's Beckham Bid Turned Down By Galaxy

david beckham portrait pencil LA Galaxy have now rejected the bid from AC Milan to sign England midfielder David Beckham on a permanent deal. Beckham is on loan with the Italian club and is due to return to the MLS side on 9 March.

He had earlier expressed a desire to remain with Milan and hoped that the clubs could reach agreement. Tim Leiweke, chief executive of Galaxy owners AEG told the LA Times: "We received an offer. It was rejected. We need to end the circus and the zoo."

Beckham, who has scored twice in five games for Milan, signed a five-year contract with the Galaxy in 2007 and while Leiweke reiterated Galaxy's desire to retain the midfielder, he did not rule out a compromise with the Serie A club.

David has made it very clear that if our decision is to bring him back here, he will return
Tim Leiweke, chief executive of LA Galaxy owners AEG

"Clearly, if David's in a position where he wants to finish the season in Milan, if Milan in turn compensates the Galaxy so that we can suffer no damages to our fans or to our team, then we'll take a look at it. If David ultimately is an asset for this team, we want him back. He (Beckham) has never forced our hand on anything. This is not a legal conversation and has never been a legal conversation. He does not have lawyers looking at the contract."

Beckham still hopes to retain his place in the England set-up with the 2010 World Cup looming.

But Leiweke played down the possibility of Beckham being upset if he fails to secure a permanent switch to Serie A.

"David has made it very clear that if our decision is to bring him back here, he will return. Period. Last time I checked, we're the ones that have the contract. So the decision as to where David's going to play this year is as much ours as anyone's. If David comes back, it will be because there were decisions made by all involved and he'll accept that. "I don't think he'll be as disgruntled as the media makes it out to be."

And so the circus continues.....Back To Home Page...Bookmark and Share

Circus Beckham Due To Roll Into AC Milan, Unless Manchester United........Maybe Not

david beckham circus milan manchester united la galaxyIt seems the "Circus Beckham" is about to go rolling into Milan on a permanenet basis. Once again, Former Manchester United star Beckham has decided he is bored of being at LA Galaxy and wants a move away from them. Forget all the adoring fans he has there, forget the contract he signed, forget about loyalty and commitment, what Beckham wants Beckham does with total disregard for everyone else. Except for Victoria that is, she pulls the strings after all.

This is the guy who abandoned Madrid once he got a sniff of the cash in the USA. The same guy who even tried to pull out of his new contract with Galaxy before he had even been welcomed as a new player, because his England career was faltering. The same guy who has walked out on LA Galaxy no doubt so Victoria can drag her sorry bones down a cat walk twice a year and pout like a goodun at every given opportunity.

He said: "I received offers from English teams and two other Italian sides, but I wanted Milan from the first moment I knew they were interested in me.

"Playing with Kaka, Ronaldinho and Pato is just too good to refuse – I think Kaka is the best in the world. I am trying to learn Italian and this will take time. I think it's important to learn the language and integrate well. But I don't think I will return to the Premier League because the only return I would have liked was Manchester United. I enjoyed 15 great years there and it would be the only team I would play for if I returned home. Manchester United are not one of the teams who contacted me though."

They wont either, forget it Becks. Take your Golden Balls to Milan and let us all carry on laughing at you. You abandon anyone and anything if the price is right. No one player is bigger than United..........remember that word.........I don't know how you say it in Italian but 'United' is not a word to describe your one man show. Go grab the cash and good luck to you. You had your time with United.....Back To Home Page...Bookmark and Share

David Beckham To Train With Milan In January, Maybe A Deal Could Occur ?

manchester united united cristiano ronaldoIt would appear that ex Manchester United "super star" David Beckham will be joining Milan to train in January as he did this year with Arsenal, has he no standards ? It also seems likely that Milan will sign him on a permanent deal too. Not content with having a team with an average age of about 94, they now want to sign up another 'oldie'. He was actually a target for Milan when he left Real Madrid but as we all know Beckham took the money and ran - to the MLS, to set it alight ! Which he has failed miserably to do.

Sources close to the player have told World Soccer Daily that Becks will now team up with the Rossoneri in January to keep his fitness up while he prepares for the new season in April 2009.

Milan chief Adriano Galliani admits that his club could have signed him and he will try again when Beckham arrives at Milanello this season.

"If Beckham had stayed to play in Europe then we would have signed him. He would have been ours after his experience with Real Madrid, but it didn't happen," said Galliani.

Speculation is rife that Milan will make sure the Englishman is signed up quickly, and reports around the penisula suggest a multi-million pound bid as the Italian club tries to creat an international dream team by adding Beckham after the capture of Ronaldinho. Milan don't really have a natural right-winger in their team and Beckham will represent the perfect signing to continue building a squad full of superstars.

The lure of first team top-European football will appeal to 'Golden Balls' and he would relish the chance of trying his game in Serie A after his experiences in Spain for Real Madrid and the USA for Los Angeles Galaxy. I'm bemused as to why Milan should be so keen to buy him. He can deliver killer crosses and take a mean free kick but that's where it ends I'm afraid. He has always been a bit gutless in defence and wont get stuck in. Anyway, it's their decision.....Back To Home Page
